Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation Showcases Sustainable Mobility Initiatives at Expo

BMC presented its sustainable urban mobility initiatives at the 19th Urban Mobility India Conference and Expo 2026. The corporation highlighted efforts to improve transport infrastructure, enhance pedestrian facilities, and promote road safety. BMC is actively integrating green mobility by installing EV charging stations and solar benches, and plans to replace diesel vehicles with 60 electric cars and SUVs. This transition aims to reduce fuel dependence, lower carbon emissions, and contribute to a cleaner, more accessible urban environment.

बीएमसी ने 19वीं अर्बन मोबिलिटी इंडिया कॉन्फ्रेंस और एक्सपो 2026 में अपनी टिकाऊ शहरी मोबिलिटी पहलों को प्रस्तुत किया। निगम ने परिवहन के बुनियादी ढांचे को बेहतर बनाने, पैदल चलने वालों की सुविधाओं को बढ़ाने और सड़क सुरक्षा को बढ़ावा देने के प्रयासों पर प्रकाश डाला। बीएमसी ईवी चार्जिंग स्टेशन और सोलर बेंच स्थापित करके हरित मोबिलिटी को सक्रिय रूप से एकीकृत कर रहा है, और डीजल वाहनों को 60 इलेक्ट्रिक कारों और एसयूवी से बदलने की योजना बना रहा है। इस परिवर्तन का उद्देश्य ईंधन पर निर्भरता कम करना, कार्बन उत्सर्जन को कम करना और एक स्वच्छ, अधिक सुलभ शहरी वातावरण में योगदान करना है।
