India Concerned Over Red Sea, Gulf Blockades

India expressed deep concern over blockades in the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait and Strait of Hormuz, the Ministry of External Affairs stated on Tuesday, September 15, 2026. This follows attacks on a ship with 14 Indian seafarers off the Oman coast. India condemned attacks on civilian infrastructure and urged the restoration of free and safe navigation. Oil supplies from the region have not been affected thus far, according to the ministry.

विदेश मंत्रालय ने मंगलवार, 15 सितंबर 2026 को बताया कि भारत ने बाब-अल-मंदेब और होर्मुज जलडमरूमध्य में नाकेबंदी पर गहरी चिंता जताई है। यह ओमान तट के पास 14 भारतीय नाविकों वाले जहाज पर हमलों के बाद हुआ। भारत ने नागरिक बुनियादी ढांचे पर हमलों की निंदा की और मुक्त व सुरक्षित नौवहन की बहाली का आग्रह किया। मंत्रालय के अनुसार, इस क्षेत्र से तेल आपूर्ति अब तक प्रभावित नहीं हुई है।
