Sabari River Rises, 135 Relief Camps Ready

As the Sabari River's water level rises sharply in Polavaram district, 135 relief camps have been prepared in Chintoor agency. Heavy inflows are being received from Chhattisgarh and Odisha due to recent rains in the catchment areas. Officials anticipate that 161 villages could be affected if the water levels in the Sabari and Godavari rivers continue to increase. Authorities have already relocated 10 pregnant women to hospitals and advised another 101 to be ready for shifting.

पोलावरम जिले में सबरी नदी का जलस्तर तेजी से बढ़ रहा है, जिसके चलते चिंताूर एजेंसी में 135 राहत कैंप तैयार किए गए हैं। कैचमेंट इलाकों में हाल की बारिश के कारण छत्तीसगढ़ और ओडिशा से भारी मात्रा में पानी आ रहा है। अधिकारियों का अनुमान है कि अगर सबरी और गोदावरी नदियों में पानी का स्तर बढ़ता रहा तो 161 गांव प्रभावित हो सकते हैं। अधिकारियों ने पहले ही 10 गर्भवती महिलाओं को अस्पतालों में शिफ्ट कर दिया है और 101 अन्य को शिफ्टिंग के लिए तैयार रहने की सलाह दी है।
