Tamil Nadu to Focus on 36 Sports Disciplines, Include Cricket in Hostels

Tamil Nadu's sports development initiative will concentrate on 36 specific disciplines, with cricket officially introduced into state-run sports hostels next year. The state aims to transform its sporting ecosystem and prepare talent for the 2036 Olympic Games. The number of supported athletes in sports hostels will increase tenfold from 2,800 to 30,000 across all 38 districts. Coaches will receive financial incentives equal to those given to victorious players. World-class rehabilitation hubs and sports cities are planned within four years.

तमिलनाडु की खेल विकास पहल 36 विशिष्ट विषयों पर केंद्रित होगी, जिसमें अगले साल से राज्य द्वारा संचालित खेल हॉस्टल में क्रिकेट को आधिकारिक तौर पर शामिल किया जाएगा। राज्य का लक्ष्य अपने खेल पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र को बदलना और 2036 ओलंपिक खेलों के लिए प्रतिभा तैयार करना है। खेल हॉस्टल में समर्थित एथलीटों की संख्या सभी 38 जिलों में 2,800 से बढ़कर 30,000 हो जाएगी। कोचों को विजयी खिलाड़ियों को दिए जाने वाले वित्तीय प्रोत्साहन के बराबर प्रोत्साहन मिलेगा। चार साल के भीतर विश्व स्तरीय पुनर्वास केंद्र और खेल शहर बनाने की योजना है।
