Over 700 Kg Illegal Firecrackers Seized in East Delhi; One Arrested

Police in east Delhi's Trilokpuri have seized over 707 kg of illegal firecrackers following a raid at a residence. The accused, identified as 37-year-old Vikas Jain, was arrested after initially being found with 47.7 kg of the contraband. Further investigation led to the recovery of an additional 659.7 kg from his home. Jain reportedly claimed the firecrackers were sourced from a supplier in Pataudi, Haryana. Authorities are now working to trace the supplier and dismantle the illegal supply network. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the law.

पूर्वी दिल्ली के त्रिलोकपुरी में पुलिस ने एक घर पर छापेमारी के बाद 707 किलो से ज़्यादा अवैध पटाखे जब्त किए हैं। आरोपी, जिसकी पहचान 37 वर्षीय विकास जैन के रूप में हुई है, को शुरू में 47.7 किलो माल के साथ पकड़े जाने के बाद गिरफ्तार किया गया था। आगे की जांच में उसके घर से 659.7 किलो अतिरिक्त माल बरामद हुआ। जैन ने कथित तौर पर दावा किया कि पटाखे पटौदी, हरियाणा के एक सप्लायर से खरीदे गए थे। अधिकारी अब सप्लायर का पता लगाने और अवैध सप्लाई नेटवर्क को खत्म करने के लिए काम कर रहे हैं। कानून की संबंधित धाराओं के तहत मामला दर्ज किया गया है।
