Mandya DC seeks better health, welfare for Pourakarmikas

Mandya Deputy Commissioner Kumara has called for enhanced health cover and welfare for Pourakarmikas, emphasizing their crucial role in public health and cleanliness. He directed officials to ensure all 318 Pourakarmikas under the Mandya city municipal council benefit from welfare schemes like Gruha Bhagya, with 28 already receiving aid. Monthly health check-ups and immediate treatment for illnesses were mandated, alongside the provision of protective gear and adequate facilities.
