Housing Society Fined For Service Lapses In Navi

A housing society in Navi Mumbai has been ordered to pay compensation to two members for lapses in service. The Thane District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission directed New Krishna Cooperative Housing Society to undertake structural repairs and correct maintenance bills. The society must appoint a structural engineer within 45 days and complete repairs within two months of the report. Additionally, it must appoint security personnel, rectify CCTV systems, and provide footage. The complainants had alleged issues like water stoppages, incorrect bills, and seepage damage.

नवी मुंबई की एक हाउसिंग सोसाइटी को सेवा में कमी के लिए दो सदस्यों को मुआवजा देने का आदेश दिया गया है। ठाणे जिला उपभोक्ता विवाद निवारण आयोग ने न्यू कृष्णा कोऑपरेटिव हाउसिंग सोसाइटी को संरचनात्मक मरम्मत करने और रखरखाव के बिलों को ठीक करने का निर्देश दिया है। सोसाइटी को 45 दिनों के भीतर एक स्ट्रक्चरल इंजीनियर नियुक्त करना होगा और रिपोर्ट के दो महीने के भीतर मरम्मत पूरी करनी होगी। इसके अतिरिक्त, उसे सुरक्षा कर्मियों को नियुक्त करना होगा, CCTV सिस्टम को ठीक करना होगा और फुटेज प्रदान करना होगा। शिकायतकर्ताओं ने पानी की रुकावट, गलत बिल और सीपेज क्षति जैसी समस्याओं का आरोप लगाया था।
