Brokerage firm Bernstein has revised its Nifty 50 target for December 2026 downwards from 26,000 to 25,000 points. While this indicates potential for further gains, the expected upside is now lower than previously anticipated. Bernstein notes that Indian stocks have become somewhat more attractive but remain expensive, with rising crude oil prices, geopolitical tensions, and weaker-than-expected corporate earnings growth posing significant concerns for the market. The firm's valuation is based on FY28 earnings, anticipating a 9% increase from FY27.
