Kaizad Bharucha, HDFC Bank's Deputy Managing Director, has requested to cease his service with the bank effective December 31, 2026, after over three decades. Bharucha, 60, was previously considered a contender for the MD & CEO position. The bank's board accepted his request, acknowledging his significant contributions, particularly in building the bank's credit architecture. His departure occurs during a period of leadership transition at HDFC Bank, following the RBI's approval of Anup Bagchi as the new MD & CEO.
