UGC Directs Colleges to Observe BRICS Sustainable Lifestyle Week 2026

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has instructed all universities and colleges in India to actively participate in the BRICS Sustainable Lifestyle Week (BSLW) 2026, scheduled from November 1 to 7. This initiative, organized under Mission LiFE, aims to promote environmentally responsible lifestyles among students, faculty, and staff. Institutions are urged to conduct awareness programs and campus activities focusing on seven themes, including energy conservation, water management, and waste reduction. The UGC encourages broad participation through various student networks and requires institutions to nominate nodal officers for reporting activities.

यूनिवर्सिटी ग्रांट्स कमीशन (UGC) ने भारत के सभी विश्वविद्यालयों और कॉलेजों को 1 से 7 नवंबर तक होने वाले बीआर.आई.सी.एस. सस्टेनेबल लाइफस्टाइल वीक (BSLW) 2026 में सक्रिय रूप से भाग लेने का निर्देश दिया है। मिशन लाइफ के तहत आयोजित की गई यह पहल छात्रों, शिक्षकों और कर्मचारियों के बीच पर्यावरण के प्रति जिम्मेदार जीवन शैली को बढ़ावा देने का लक्ष्य रखती है। संस्थानों से ऊर्जा संरक्षण, जल प्रबंधन और कचरा कम करने सहित सात विषयों पर ध्यान केंद्रित करते हुए जागरूकता कार्यक्रम और कैंपस गतिविधियां आयोजित करने का आग्रह किया गया है।
