Strangers Fly To Ireland To Return Wedding Ring Lost In Italian Stream

An Irish father, Patrick Mohr, lost his 18-carat gold wedding ring while holidaying in Italy. The ring slipped off his finger while he was playing with his children in a stream. Three Italian friends, Filippo Palagi, Nicola Malloggi, and Edoardo Poggi, spent three days searching the river. Malloggi eventually found the ring. The friends then flew to Ireland to return it personally to Mohr and his wife, Joanne McHugh. They even dressed as hobbits and sang songs from 'The Lord of the Rings' upon arrival.
