An independent Commission has found Manchester City FC guilty of numerous charges related to serious breaches of Premier League financial rules over nine seasons. The club allegedly arranged 'sham contracts' with commercial partners to artificially inflate revenues and reduce costs, misstating accounts to conceal its true financial state. These actions were intended to circumvent spending limits set by the Premier League and UEFA. Furthermore, Manchester City was found to have committed multiple breaches of its duty to cooperate with the League's investigation.
