Bengaluru Metropolitan Region Notifies New Mobility Road Grid

The Bengaluru Metropolitan Region Development Authority (BMRDA) has notified a new mobility road grid for areas surrounding Bengaluru to prevent issues from unplanned development. This plan involves widening existing village and key roads, some from 10 metres to up to 90 metres, to accommodate increased traffic. The notification, issued under the Revised Bengaluru Structure Plan-2031, aims to support planned urban expansion and includes developing integrated freight and intermodal transport hubs.

बेंगलुरु मेट्रोपॉलिटन रीजन डेवलपमेंट अथॉरिटी (BMRDA) ने अनियोजित विकास से होने वाली समस्याओं को रोकने के लिए बेंगलुरु के आसपास के क्षेत्रों के लिए एक नई मोबिलिटी रोड ग्रिड की सूचना दी है। इस योजना में मौजूदा गांव और मुख्य सड़कों को चौड़ा करना शामिल है, कुछ 10 मीटर से लेकर 90 मीटर तक, ताकि बढ़ते यातायात को समायोजित किया जा सके। रिवाइज्ड बेंगलुरु स्ट्रक्चर प्लान-2031 के तहत जारी की गई अधिसूचना का उद्देश्य नियोजित शहरी विस्तार का समर्थन करना है और इसमें एकीकृत माल ढुलाई और इंटरमोडल परिवहन हब का विकास शामिल है।
