Parents Slam Delhi Police Crackdown on Protesters, Questioning Student Detentions

Parents of CJP convenor Abhijeet Dipke have criticised the detention of their son and hundreds of protesters in Delhi, questioning the heavy police deployment. Dipke's father asked if students protesting electoral issues were "Chambal dacoits," while his mother questioned detentions from flights. Delhi Police detained around 1500 protesters, including Dipke and YouTuber Dhruv Rathee, preventing them from reaching Jantar Mantar for a planned demonstration. The parents accused the government of undermining democracy and not following democratic principles by preventing peaceful protest.
