Election Commission Asks BLOs to Re-add Deleted Eligible Voters Via Form 6

The Election Commission has directed poll panels to reinstate eligible voters who were wrongly removed from electoral rolls during a special intensive revision. Booth level officers will now collect applications through Form 6 to add these voters back. This directive comes amid concerns raised by political parties and civil society groups regarding the functioning of the Election Commission and alleged irregularities. Activists have demanded the removal of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over these issues.

चुनाव आयोग ने चुनाव पैनलों को निर्देश दिया है कि वे विशेष गहन संशोधन के दौरान मतदाता सूची से गलत तरीके से हटाए गए योग्य मतदाताओं को फिर से शामिल करें। अब बूथ स्तर के अधिकारी इन मतदाताओं को वापस जोड़ने के लिए फॉर्म 6 के माध्यम से आवेदन एकत्र करेंगे। यह निर्देश राजनीतिक दलों और नागरिक समाज समूहों द्वारा चुनाव आयोग के कामकाज और कथित अनियमितताओं के संबंध में उठाई गई चिंताओं के बीच आया है। कार्यकर्ताओं ने इन मुद्दों पर मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञानेश कुमार को हटाने की मांग की है।
