Himachal Wildlife Board Clears Industrial, Border Infra Projects

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu chaired the State Board for Wildlife meeting, approving several key projects. The board greenlit an API manufacturing unit in Kangra, forest land diversion for ITBP border outposts in Kinnaur, and military infrastructure near the northern border. Other approvals include expansion of a metallurgical unit and widening of a road in Mandi district. Measures to prevent wildlife deaths on a highway stretch were also discussed, alongside a directive for monkey population data and expediting a zoological park construction.
