Freshworks Founder Girish Mathrubootham Turns Film Producer

Girish Mathrubootham, founder of Freshworks and a prominent figure in India's SaaS sector, is venturing into film production. He will produce the Tamil film Sarpatta Parambarai 2, the sequel to the acclaimed 2021 boxing drama. This move comes after Mathrubootham stepped down as executive chairman of Freshworks in December. He had previously led the company through its historic US IPO in 2021. Mathrubootham also co-founded the venture fund Together Fund, which manages over $200 million in assets.
