Kharar MC Officials Fined ₹1 Lakh Each

The Punjab Transparency and Accountability Commission has fined Kharar Municipal Council's Executive Officer Ashok Pathria and his predecessor Sukhdev Singh ₹1 lakh each. This penalty is due to the excessive pendency of building-plan applications. Both officials have also received show-cause notices for failing to dispose of applications promptly and comply with transparency laws. Reports indicated hundreds of residential and non-residential applications were pending beyond prescribed timelines for both officers. Further disciplinary action may be recommended if satisfactory explanations are not provided.

खरड़ एमसी अधिकारियों पर ₹1 लाख का जुर्माना

पंजाब पारदर्शिता और जवाबदेही आयोग ने खरड़ नगर परिषद के कार्यकारी अधिकारी अशोक पथरिया और उनके पूर्ववर्ती सुखदेव सिंह पर ₹1 लाख का जुर्माना लगाया है। यह जुर्माना बिल्डिंग-प्लान आवेदनों के अत्यधिक लंबित रहने के कारण लगाया गया है। दोनों अधिकारियों को समय पर आवेदनों का निपटारा न करने और पारदर्शिता कानूनों का पालन न करने के लिए कारण बताओ नोटिस भी जारी किए गए हैं। रिपोर्टों से पता चला है कि दोनों अधिकारियों के कार्यकाल में सैकड़ों आवासीय और गैर-आवासीय आवेदन निर्धारित समय-सीमा से अधिक लंबित थे। यदि संतोषजनक स्पष्टीकरण नहीं दिया गया तो आगे अनुशासनात्मक कार्रवाई की सिफारिश की जा सकती है।
