Pune Housing Society Water Dispute Turns Violent; 7 Injured

A dispute over water usage for washing vehicles in Pune's Charholi area escalated into violence on Tuesday, resulting in seven injuries. The altercation began when an autorickshaw driver was allegedly using a common borewell to wash his vehicle, despite ongoing water scarcity and conservation measures. Society members confronted the driver, leading to a physical clash. Police have registered two separate complaints and are investigating the incident under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including rioting.

पुणे के चारोली इलाके में गाड़ी धोने के लिए पानी के इस्तेमाल को लेकर हुए विवाद में मंगलवार को हिंसा भड़क गई, जिसमें सात लोग घायल हो गए। यह झगड़ा तब शुरू हुआ जब एक ऑटो-रिक्शा चालक पर कथित तौर पर पानी की कमी और संरक्षण उपायों के बावजूद, अपनी गाड़ी धोने के लिए एक सामान्य बोरवेल का इस्तेमाल करने का आरोप लगा। सोसाइटी के सदस्यों ने चालक का सामना किया, जिससे शारीरिक झड़प हुई। पुलिस ने दो अलग-अलग शिकायतें दर्ज की हैं और दंगा सहित भारतीय न्याय संहिता की संबंधित धाराओं के तहत घटना की जांच कर रही है।
