Times of India - India · india
A decades-old fake marriage ring in Massachusetts has been dismantled, orchestrating 18 to 20 sham marriages annually for illegal immigrants seeking Green Cards. The scheme, masterminded by US citizen Jennifer Gonzalez, charged between $38,000 and $40,000 per marriage, generating over $6 million in profits over more than a decade. Gonzalez allegedly invested profits in real estate in the Dominican Republic. US Attorney Leah Foley emphasized that the American Dream is earned, not for sale, and accountability will be enforced for those who profit from fraud.
