Detained Activists Freed by MP HC Order To Stage Protest in Pune Instead

Fourteen students and activists, detained by Madhya Pradesh police while en route to Delhi for a protest, have been released following an order from the MP High Court. The group, affiliated with various youth organizations, was protesting for electoral reforms and the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner. They were detained from the Goa Express at Itarsi and held in a banquet hall. Relatives filed a habeas corpus petition, leading to the court's directive for their production and safe return.

मध्य प्रदेश पुलिस द्वारा दिल्ली में विरोध प्रदर्शन के लिए जाते समय हिरासत में लिए गए चौदह छात्रों और कार्यकर्ताओं को एमपी हाई कोर्ट के आदेश के बाद रिहा कर दिया गया है। विभिन्न युवा संगठनों से जुड़े इस समूह का विरोध प्रदर्शन चुनावी सुधारों और मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त के इस्तीफे की मांग को लेकर था। उन्हें इटारसी में गोवा एक्सप्रेस से हिरासत में लिया गया था और एक बैंक्वेट हॉल में रखा गया था। रिश्तेदारों द्वारा habeas corpus याचिका दायर करने के बाद अदालत ने उन्हें पेश करने और सुरक्षित वापस भेजने का निर्देश दिया।
