Om Prakash Mathur is set to be sworn in as the new Governor of Kerala on Friday,. The oath of office will be administered by the Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court, Justice Soumen Sen, at the Lok Bhavan auditorium between 12:00 PM and 12:30 PM. Mathur, who previously served as the Governor of Sikkim, has a background in public life as an RSS pracharak and has held significant positions within the BJP. He becomes the 29th Governor of Kerala, succeeding Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar.

ओम प्रकाश माथुर शुक्रवार को केरल के नए राज्यपाल के तौर पर शपथ लेंगे। केरल हाई कोर्ट के मुख्य न्यायाधीश, जस्टिस सौमेन सेन, लोक भवन ऑडिटोरियम में दोपहर 12:00 बजे से 12:30 बजे के बीच उन्हें पद की शपथ दिलाएंगे। माथुर, जो पहले सिक्किम के राज्यपाल रह चुके हैं, आरएसएस प्रचारक के तौर पर सार्वजनिक जीवन में सक्रिय रहे हैं और उन्होंने भाजपा में महत्वपूर्ण पदों पर काम किया है। वह केरल के 29वें राज्यपाल होंगे और राजेंद्र विश्वनाथ आर्लेकर का स्थान लेंगे।
