Rajasthan Private Colleges Face 1,039 MBBS Seat Vacancies After Counselling

Rajasthan's NEET UG counselling has left 1,039 MBBS seats vacant in private medical colleges after the third round, while all government seats were filled. The admission board cited strict application of reservation rules, merit norms, and court directives for the vacancies. Only three of eighteen private colleges filled all their MBBS seats. Officials stated that out-of-state candidates claiming reservation were treated as unreserved and had to meet the 213-mark cut-off, with no dilution of merit or policy.

राजस्थान में नीट यूजी काउंसलिंग के तीसरे दौर के बाद प्राइवेट मेडिकल कॉलेजों में एमबीबीएस की 1,039 सीटें खाली रह गईं, जबकि सभी सरकारी सीटें भर गईं। एडमिशन बोर्ड ने कहा कि आरक्षण नियमों, मेरिट मानदंडों और अदालती निर्देशों के सख्त पालन के कारण ये सीटें खाली रह गईं। 18 प्राइवेट कॉलेजों में से केवल तीन ही अपनी सभी एमबीबीएस सीटें भर पाए। अधिकारियों ने बताया कि आरक्षण का दावा करने वाले राज्य के बाहर के उम्मीदवारों को अनारक्षित माना गया और उन्हें 213 अंकों के कट-ऑफ को पूरा करना पड़ा, जिसमें मेरिट या नीति से कोई समझौता नहीं किया गया।
