प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने वाराणसी में अरविंद लिमिटेड के पहले मैन्युफैक्चरिंग प्लांट का उद्घाटन किया, जिसे लगभग ₹150 करोड़ की लागत से बनाया गया है। इस सुविधा का लक्ष्य हजारों नौकरियां पैदा करना है, जिसमें स्थानीय महिलाओं को प्राथमिकता दी जाएगी, और 300 से अधिक महिलाओं को पहले ही भर्ती कर प्रशिक्षण दिया जा रहा है। पीएम मोदी ने महिला श्रमिकों से बातचीत की, "आपकी स्किल, आपकी पहचान" थीम पर जोर दिया और खादी उत्पादन के बारे में पूछताछ की। 7-8 एकड़ में फैले इस नए प्लांट में मल्टीनेशनल ब्रांडों के लिए स्पोर्ट्सवियर और अंडरगारमेंट्स का उत्पादन किया जाएगा, जिससे पूर्वांचल क्षेत्र में टेक्सटाइल मैन्युफैक्चरिंग इकोसिस्टम मजबूत होगा।
