Delhi-NCR is experiencing a significant weather shift with dark clouds, strong winds, and light showers reported. Authorities have issued an alert for heavy rain and hailstorms in the coming hours, with temperatures expected to drop. IMD forecasts heavy to very heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning across Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Punjab. Gusty winds reaching up to 50-60 km/h are also anticipated, prompting warnings for residents to avoid open spaces and vulnerable areas. The unusual October weather is attributed to a Western Disturbance and a cyclonic circulation.
