G4 Nations Demand UNSC Reforms, Meet in Delhi

India, Brazil, Germany, and Japan (G4 nations) met in New York to demand reforms in the UN Security Council. They emphasized expanding permanent and non-permanent membership to reflect current geopolitical realities and address underrepresentation from regions like Africa and Asia. The G4 criticized the 80-year-old structure for hindering effective international peace and security maintenance. They also questioned the 18-year-long IGN process, calling for faster implementation of reforms.

न्यूयॉर्क में भारत, ब्राज़ील, जर्मनी और जापान (G4 देशों) की बैठक हुई। उन्होंने संयुक्त राष्ट्र सुरक्षा परिषद में सुधार की मांग की। G4 देशों ने कहा कि सुरक्षा परिषद में स्थायी और अस्थायी सदस्यों की संख्या बढ़ाई जाए ताकि मौजूदा भू-राजनीतिक हकीकतें दिखें और अफ्रीका व एशिया जैसे क्षेत्रों का प्रतिनिधित्व बढ़े। उन्होंने सुरक्षा परिषद की पुरानी संरचना की आलोचना की।
