Nagas Rally in Manipur, Urge PM Modi for Political Solution to Crisis

Naga organisations held rallies in Manipur's Kamjong and Ukhrul districts, appealing to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a permanent political solution to the ongoing violence. The United Naga Council, representing apex Naga bodies, submitted a memorandum demanding intervention to end the crisis, which they stated escalated from Kuki-Meitei clashes to include Naga communities. They highlighted the historical roots of the conflict, citing alleged illegal Kuki immigration and disparities between hill and valley regions.

मणिपुर के कामजोंग और उखरुल जिलों में नागा संगठनों ने रैलियां निकालीं। उन्होंने प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी से चल रही हिंसा का स्थायी राजनीतिक समाधान निकालने की अपील की। यूनाइटेड नागा काउंसिल, जो शीर्ष नागा निकायों का प्रतिनिधित्व करती है, ने संकट को समाप्त करने के लिए हस्तक्षेप की मांग करते हुए एक ज्ञापन सौंपा। उन्होंने कहा कि यह संकट कुकी-मैतेई झड़पों से बढ़कर नागा समुदायों तक फैल गया है। उन्होंने संघर्ष की ऐतिहासिक जड़ों पर प्रकाश डाला, जिसमें कथित अवैध कुकी आप्रवासन और पहाड़ी तथा घाटी क्षेत्रों के बीच असमानताओं का उल्लेख किया गया।
