1.5 Lakh Vehicles in Raichur Ply Without Renewed Registration

Approximately 1,50,245 vehicles in Raichur district are operating without renewed registration certificates after completing 15 years. This includes 1,27,090 two-wheelers, 6,415 cars, 10,378 tractors, and 6,362 trailers. The Regional Transport Office (RTO) warns that these aging vehicles pose road safety risks due to potential mechanical defects and contribute to air pollution. Failure to renew registration also results in significant revenue loss for the government. Authorities plan a special drive to penalize and seize non-compliant vehicles.

रायचूर जिले में करीब 1,50,245 गाड़ियां 15 साल पूरे होने के बाद बिना रिन्यू रजिस्ट्रेशन सर्टिफिकेट के चल रही हैं। इनमें 1,27,090 दो-पहिया वाहन, 6,415 कारें, 10,378 ट्रैक्टर और 6,362 ट्रेलर शामिल हैं। रीजनल ट्रांसपोर्ट ऑफिस (RTO) ने चेतावनी दी है कि ये पुरानी गाड़ियां मैकेनिकल खराबी के कारण सड़क सुरक्षा के लिए खतरा पैदा करती हैं और वायु प्रदूषण भी बढ़ाती हैं। रजिस्ट्रेशन रिन्यू न कराने से सरकार को भारी राजस्व का नुकसान भी हो रहा है। अधिकारी नियमों का पालन न करने वाली गाड़ियों पर जुर्माना लगाने और उन्हें जब्त करने के लिए एक विशेष अभियान चलाने की योजना बना रहे हैं।
