Scotch Whisky Prices Set to Drop in Delhi Following Customs Duty Reduction

Scotch whisky prices in Delhi are expected to decrease by approximately 7% soon, following a reduction in customs duty under the India-UK Free Trade Agreement. The excise department has begun revising liquor prices, with initial changes likely to affect hotels, clubs, and restaurants before moving to retail outlets. This move is a result of India lowering customs duty on imported Scotch whisky from 150% to 75%, with further reductions planned over the next decade.

भारत-यूके फ्री ट्रेड एग्रीमेंट के तहत कस्टम ड्यूटी में कटौती के बाद दिल्ली में स्कॉच व्हिस्की की कीमतें जल्द ही लगभग 7% कम होने की उम्मीद है। आबकारी विभाग ने शराब की कीमतों को संशोधित करना शुरू कर दिया है, जिसमें शुरुआती बदलाव संभवतः खुदरा दुकानों पर जाने से पहले होटल, क्लब और रेस्तरां को प्रभावित करेंगे। यह कदम भारत द्वारा आयातित स्कॉच व्हिस्की पर कस्टम ड्यूटी को 150% से घटाकर 75% करने का परिणाम है, जिसमें अगले दशक में और कटौती की योजना है।
