Supreme Court Extends CBSE Third Language Rule

The Supreme Court has directed the CBSE to extend relaxations in the three-language scheme to Class VI students. These students will have to study the new third language but will be exempt from a CBSE Board examination in it when they reach Class X. Additionally, Class VI students already studying two non-native languages can continue with them and add a Bharatiya Bhasha as their third language. This ensures they do not have to drop existing languages to accommodate the new policy.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने CBSE को तीसरी भाषा योजना में छूट को कक्षा VI के छात्रों तक बढ़ाने का निर्देश दिया है। इन छात्रों को नई तीसरी भाषा का अध्ययन करना होगा लेकिन कक्षा X तक पहुँचने पर इसमें CBSE बोर्ड परीक्षा से छूट मिलेगी। इसके अलावा, कक्षा VI के छात्र जो पहले से दो गैर-देशी भाषाएँ पढ़ रहे हैं, वे उन्हें जारी रख सकते हैं और अपनी तीसरी भाषा के रूप में एक भारतीय भाषा जोड़ सकते हैं। इससे यह सुनिश्चित होगा कि उन्हें नई नीति को समायोजित करने के लिए मौजूदा भाषाओं को छोड़ना नहीं पड़ेगा।
