New Delhi Station Overhauls Passenger Flow With Large Holding Area

New Delhi Railway Station has introduced a large holding area for reserved ticket passengers, consolidating previously dispersed entry gates to reduce confusion. Security checks and other essential services have been moved outside the station, creating a more open and convenient ticketing and waiting area inside. This initiative aims to manage the significant passenger volume, which can exceed 5 lakh daily and reach 8 lakh during festivals. The railway is also deploying additional special trains and staff to ensure passengers reach their destinations efficiently.

नई दिल्ली रेलवे स्टेशन ने आरक्षित टिकट वाले यात्रियों के लिए एक बड़ा होल्डिंग एरिया शुरू किया है, जिससे पहले अलग-अलग एंट्री गेट को एक जगह लाया गया है ताकि भ्रम कम हो। सुरक्षा जांच और अन्य ज़रूरी सेवाएं स्टेशन के बाहर ले जाई गई हैं, जिससे अंदर टिकट और वेटिंग एरिया ज़्यादा खुला और सुविधाजनक हो गया है। इस पहल का मकसद यात्रियों की भारी भीड़ को संभालना है, जो रोज़ाना 5 लाख से ज़्यादा हो सकती है और त्योहारों के दौरान 8 लाख तक पहुँच सकती है। रेलवे यात्रियों को कुशलता से उनके गंतव्य तक पहुँचाने के लिए अतिरिक्त स्पेशल ट्रेनें और स्टाफ भी तैनात कर रहा है।
