Kerala Govt Hospitals Services May Suffer After 1,495 NHM Staff Contracts Terminated
The Hindu · india
Government hospitals and health centres across Keralam are likely to face service disruptions following the termination of job contracts for 1,495 National Health Mission (NHM) staff from October 31. The affected employees include doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and lab technicians, among others. Services for special newborn units, the 'Ashadhara' project for rare genetic disorders, and urban health centres may be impacted. The NHM Employees Federation alleges the terminations are politically motivated, while the Health Department has initiated recruitment for new staff.
