Bengaluru to Get 46.5 Km Elevated Corridor to Ease Traffic Congestion

Bengaluru, notorious for its severe traffic jams, is set to receive a significant infrastructure upgrade with the construction of two major elevated corridors. The project, spanning 46.5 kilometers, will be built under the Build Own Operate Transfer model. The Karnataka government will fund 40% of the estimated ₹5,820 crore cost, with the remainder to be recovered through tolls. One corridor will connect Yeshwantpur to KR Puram (28 km), and the other will link Marrenahalli to Kanakapura (18.5 km). Tolls will be levied on stretches exceeding 10 kilometers.
