चुनाव आयोग (ECI) ने कहा है कि EVM में गड़बड़ी के आरोपों पर विरोध कर रहे विपक्षी सांसदों ने औपचारिक रूप से मिलने का समय नहीं मांगा था। ECI ने साफ किया कि उन्हें मीडिया रिपोर्टों और दिल्ली पुलिस के एक DCP से सांसदों की मिलने की इच्छा के बारे में पता चला, लेकिन कोई आधिकारिक अपॉइंटमेंट नहीं मांगी गई थी। आयोग ने बताया कि राजनीतिक दलों के लिए पहले से मीटिंग का अनुरोध करने और उसका उद्देश्य बताने का एक तय प्रोटोकॉल है।
