Ahead of the Amravati Division Teachers' Constituency election, a political storm has erupted following the seizure of Rs 1.15 lakh in cash, campaign materials, and voter lists from a hotel. Three individuals were detained and handed over to the Election Flying Squad Team for further investigation. The police action revealed that the campaign material belonged to an independent candidate. An inquiry is underway to determine if the cash was intended for voter inducement and if it violates the Model Code of Conduct.
