The man repeatedly urged officers to strike him while refusing to move. Despite many protesters dispersing, he continued to stand his ground. दिल्ली पुलिस ने लाठीचार्ज और आंसू गैस का इस्तेमाल कर प्रदर्शनकारियों को तितर-बितर कर दिया। लेकिन एक प्रदर्शनकारी अपनी जगह से टस से मस नहीं हुआ। वह बार-बार पुलिस वालों से उसे मारने को कहता रहा। कई लोग भाग गए, पर वह वहीं डटा रहा। सुरक्षा बलों ने कई जगहों पर मार्च रोका, जिससे टकराव की गंभीरता और उस व्यक्ति के अड़ियल रवैये का पता चला।
