The Jammu and Kashmir Congress has distanced itself from National Conference president Farooq Abdullah's statement suggesting Pakistan helps Kashmiris by keeping the issue alive internationally. J&K Congress chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma asserted that Pakistan has no right to interfere in India's internal affairs, as Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India. Sharma suggested Abdullah's remarks reflected frustration over the Centre's failure to restore statehood and alleged discrimination against minorities. Kashmiri Pandit groups have filed a police complaint seeking an FIR against Abdullah for his comments.
