The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has devised a plan to enable Arunachal Pradesh's participation in the Ranji Trophy, preventing further forfeitures due to internal disputes. A three-member independent selection committee, comprising former first-class players, will conduct trials for the state's men's and women's teams across all age groups. BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia stated the decision prioritizes player interests amidst ongoing litigation. This intervention aims to shield players from suffering the consequences of association conflicts, ensuring fair selection without external interference.
