The Indian Navy has been actively participating in multinational maritime exercises across three oceans over the past three months. The stealth frigate INS Sahyadri recently arrived in Yokosuka, Japan, to join the Malabar 2026 exercise with India, Japan, Australia, and the US. Prior to this, Sahyadri completed a bilateral exercise with the Republic of Korea Navy in Busan, enhancing interoperability and cooperation. These engagements are part of the Navy's broader strategy to strengthen its global presence and diplomatic ties through naval diplomacy, aligning with its MAHASAGAR vision.
