Fair Elections Vital for Democracy, Says Murli Manohar Joshi

Senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi stated that democratically elected governments should not fall if elections are fair and bureaucracy is transparent. He emphasized that the Supreme Court should intervene if the Constitution is violated. Joshi was speaking on the sidelines of the 21st FICCI Higher Education Summit. The opposition has demanded the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner over alleged irregularities in voter list revisions. Joshi urged the opposition to be responsible and present a clear alternative program within the constitutional framework.

वरिष्ठ भाजपा नेता मुरली मनोहर जोशी ने कहा कि लोकतांत्रिक रूप से चुनी हुई सरकारें तब नहीं गिरनी चाहिए जब चुनाव निष्पक्ष हों और नौकरशाही पारदर्शी हो। उन्होंने जोर देकर कहा कि अगर संविधान का उल्लंघन होता है तो Supreme Court को हस्तक्षेप करना चाहिए। जोशी 21वीं FICCI Higher Education Summit के मौके पर बोल रहे थे। विपक्ष ने मतदाता सूची में कथित अनियमितताओं को लेकर मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त के इस्तीफे की मांग की है। जोशी ने विपक्ष से जिम्मेदार बनने और संवैधानिक ढांचे के भीतर एक स्पष्ट वैकल्पिक कार्यक्रम प्रस्तुत करने का आग्रह किया।
