Times of India · business
Indian business confidence improved in the July-September quarter of FY2026-27, rising to 107.8 from 99.8, after four consecutive quarters of decline. Expectations of higher production, domestic sales, and exports are lifting sentiment ahead of the festive season. The survey, conducted by NCAER and covering 502 firms, showed a broad-based recovery across MSMEs and large companies. However, the index remains significantly below the 142.6 recorded in the same period last year, indicating a partial recovery.
