Pune To Suspend Water Supply Every Thursday From October 15

Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) will suspend water supply across the city every Thursday starting October 15 due to a rainfall deficit in Maharashtra. The Khadakwasla dam, which supplies water to Pune, has significantly lower storage levels compared to previous years. The PMC will also ban the use of drinking water for construction and close vehicle washing centres until the next monsoon. This decision follows a state government directive to manage water resources economically and prepare for a potential drought-like situation.

पुणे में 15 अक्टूबर से हर गुरुवार को पानी की सप्लाई बंद रहेगी

महाराष्ट्र में बारिश की कमी के कारण पुणे नगर निगम (PMC) 15 अक्टूबर से पूरे शहर में हर गुरुवार को पानी की सप्लाई बंद कर देगा। पुणे को पानी सप्लाई करने वाले खड़कवासला बांध में पिछले सालों की तुलना में पानी का स्तर काफी कम है। PMC अगले मानसून तक निर्माण कार्यों के लिए पीने के पानी के इस्तेमाल पर भी रोक लगाएगा और वाहन धोने के केंद्र बंद कर देगा। यह फैसला राज्य सरकार के पानी के संसाधनों का किफायती ढंग से प्रबंधन करने और संभावित सूखे जैसी स्थिति के लिए तैयार रहने के निर्देश के बाद आया है।
