Mysterious 11-Foot Metallic Object Found in Minnesota Field Suspected Chinese Rocket Debris

Times of India · science

A farmer in western Minnesota discovered an 11-foot-wide metallic object in his cornfield, prompting an investigation by state and federal agencies. The charred, round debris is suspected by experts to be from a Chinese Zhuque-2E rocket launched in September. Similar objects have been found elsewhere, with one also potentially linked to the same rocket. While officials assure the public there is no danger, the object's exact origin is still pending confirmation. Under international convention, the launching country is liable for any damage caused by space debris.
