New Guidelines For High-Speed National Highways

New guidelines from the National Highways Authority of India will enhance safety and uniformity on upcoming four- and six-lane access-controlled National Highways. Key changes include one-metre-high walls to prevent stray cattle from entering, advance warnings before exits, and highway widths and lane configurations determined by projected traffic volumes. Ramp-based interchanges will be implemented at major road crossings and for better access to airports and industrial hubs.

भारतीय राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग प्राधिकरण (NHAI) ने नए नियम जारी किए हैं। अब चार और छह लेन वाले हाईवे पर सुरक्षा और एकरूपता बढ़ेगी। आवारा पशुओं को रोकने के लिए एक मीटर ऊंची दीवारें होंगी। एग्जिट से पहले चेतावनी मिलेगी। हाईवे की चौड़ाई और लेन की संख्या ट्रैफिक के हिसाब से तय होगी। एयरपोर्ट और इंडस्ट्रियल हब के पास रैंप वाले इंटरचेंज बनाए जाएंगे।
