A special investigation team (SIT) has arrested an eighth individual in connection with the alleged sexual exploitation and trafficking of a 16-year-old girl at spas in Kovalam. The latest arrest, Kiran J Jiji, is accused of assisting the prime accused in bringing women to the establishments. This arrest expands the probe into an alleged interstate trafficking network involving spa operators and intermediaries. The case initially surfaced after a missing person complaint, leading to the discovery of the minor's exploitation and the use of fraudulent documents to conceal her age.
