The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting is currently examining the future of television audience measurement in India, including the potential for multiple rating currencies, according to Prasar Bharati CEO Gaurav Dwivedi. He stated that media associations have presented their views to the government regarding the suspension of BARC ratings, which has been in place for nearly three months. Dwivedi indicated that structural issues at BARC are reportedly resolved and reports have been submitted.
