Bihar is emerging as a major expressway hub with six significant projects currently under construction, alongside 32 other road development initiatives approved by NHAI. These projects collectively span approximately 1,685 kilometers, with 18 being managed by the Bihar Road Construction Department and 14 by NHAI. Key projects include the Gorakhpur-Kishanganj-Siliguri Expressway, Raxaul-Haldia Expressway, and Buxar-Bhagalpur Brownfield Expressway. These developments aim to drastically reduce travel times across the state and improve connectivity, with several projects targeting completion by 2028.

बिहार एक बड़ा एक्सप्रेसवे हब बनकर उभर रहा है, जहाँ छह अहम प्रोजेक्ट्स पर अभी काम चल रहा है। इसके साथ ही NHAI ने 32 अन्य सड़क विकास पहलों को भी मंजूरी दी है। ये प्रोजेक्ट्स कुल मिलाकर करीब 1,685 किलोमीटर तक फैले हुए हैं, जिनमें से 18 बिहार सड़क निर्माण विभाग और 14 NHAI द्वारा संभाले जा रहे हैं। मुख्य प्रोजेक्ट्स में गोरखपुर-किशनगंज-सिलीगुड़ी एक्सप्रेसवे, रक्सौल-हल्दिया एक्सप्रेसवे और बक्सर-भागलपुर ब्राउनफील्ड एक्सप्रेसवे शामिल हैं। इन विकासों का लक्ष्य राज्य भर में यात्रा के समय को काफी कम करना और कनेक्टिविटी में सुधार करना है, जिसमें कई प्रोजेक्ट्स 2028 तक पूरे होने का लक्ष्य रखते हैं।
