The Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) will implement a fuel surcharge of 3 paise per unit on electricity bills for October. This additional charge is intended to recover increased expenses incurred by KSEB due to higher power purchases during August. The surcharge applies to all consumers, whether billed monthly or bimonthly. This automatic cost-recovery mechanism, approved by the Kerala State Electricity Regulatory Commission, allows KSEB to adjust charges based on fuel cost variations.
