Jantar Mantar Protests: SC Panel Receives Few Complaints On Violence

The Supreme Court-appointed High-Powered Enquiry Committee (HPEC) probing alleged violence during Jantar Mantar protests has received hardly any complaints. The apex court was informed that the committee, headed by a former Supreme Court judge, lacks material to make findings on the July 20 protests. The court directed that all related petitions, videos, and complaints be transferred to the panel. The HPEC had issued notices inviting complaints but received very few responses, prompting a second invitation.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट द्वारा नियुक्त हाई-पावर्ड एन्क्वायरी कमेटी (HPEC) को जंतर मंतर विरोध प्रदर्शनों के दौरान कथित हिंसा की जांच में बमुश्किल कोई शिकायत मिली है। शीर्ष अदालत को सूचित किया गया कि पूर्व सुप्रीम कोर्ट न्यायाधीश की अध्यक्षता वाली समिति के पास 20 जुलाई के विरोध प्रदर्शनों पर निष्कर्ष निकालने के लिए सामग्री की कमी है। अदालत ने निर्देश दिया कि सभी संबंधित याचिकाएं, वीडियो और शिकायतें पैनल को हस्तांतरित की जाएं। HPEC ने शिकायतें आमंत्रित करने के लिए नोटिस जारी किए थे लेकिन बहुत कम प्रतिक्रियाएं मिलीं, जिसके कारण दूसरी बार निमंत्रण भेजा गया।
