President Donald Trump has unveiled the newly repaired Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, concluding months of work to address algae growth caused by a failed blue chemical coating. The project involved draining the 2,000-foot pool, removing the damaged coating, and applying a new sealant. However, the repairs have drawn significant criticism as federal contracts for the work escalated to over $14 million, far exceeding the initial estimate of under $2 million. Trump praised the completed work, stating the pool has been restored to its historic condition.
